When I first started this journey, I didnβt know how long it would take or how many barriers Iβd face. I just knew one thing β that I couldnβt stay silent while my name, image, and identity were misused. Today, after everything Iβve fought through, I want to share a few reflections on what Iβve learned.
My name is Calvin-Lee Hardie, and Iβve spent months challenging damaging content, correcting the record, and learning how to navigate the legal, emotional, and reputational weight of online harm. This blog hasnβt just been about visibility β itβs been about taking back control, and choosing how Iβm represented in the world.
What Iβve learned is this: systems donβt change unless you push them. Whether youβre dealing with a publisher, a social media platform, or a legal framework that moves slowly, persistence is everything. You have to be louder than the lie β and braver than the silence.
Iβve come to believe that resilience isnβt just survival β itβs strategy. Itβs documenting everything. Itβs learning your rights. Itβs refusing to let anyone else define you. And itβs believing that truth still matters, even when algorithms try to bury it.
This is my story. And every time someone else finds the strength to fight back because of it, I know this has all been worth it.
For anyone facing similar struggles: you can stand up. You can speak out. And you can be heard.
